Tragedy Strikes Western Sydney: Three-Year-Old Girl Dies After Being Hit by Car in Driveway

A three-year-old girl has died after being struck by a car in a driveway in Auburn, Western Sydney. Emergency services were called to the scene about 2:05pm on Tuesday.

Police said the child was playing in a communal driveway when she was hit by a car entering the property. The girl was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition but has since died.

A 27-year-old man was taken to Auburn Hospital for mandatory testing. It is understood the driver was not known to the child and her family, and did not live at the address.

Neighbour Yuyi Hao was on her balcony when she heard a loud noise, followed by shouting.
