Sydney's dream pop duo Fathom has successfully completed an ambitious attempt to break the world record for most gigs in 12 hours, playing nine 15-minute shows across NSW and into Canberra.

The band, consisting of vocalist Cate Guirguis and keyboardist Jaxon Italiano, traveled over 500 kilometers to venues at least 50 kilometers apart, in areas with populations of more than 15,000, with half of those areas having populations of at least 100,000.

On Saturday, the duo visited Singleton, Newcastle, Gosford, Sydney, Penrith, Lithgow, Bathurst, and Goulburn before playing their final set in Canberra. The journey was not without its challenges, with the pair facing delays due to Sydney traffic, a missing helicopter, and flight issues.
